Stephanie Olson talks to Marie Gould. Marie Gould is a mother, author and Inspirational speaker from Omaha, Nebraska who through life’s twists and turns has learned the value of embracing your life journey so you can heal, grow and live the life you desire. She was adopted as an infant and grew up in a middle-class community, but somehow never felt like she fit in. Due to a health crisis her father suffered her whole perspective changed and she began a path that would take her to places society would shame and criticize. By her 20’s she became a single parent, worked to build a career as a cosmetologist and out of the welfare system, and eventually married and pursued teaching and encouraging people in ministry. After her marriage became unsavable, she stepped away and began this journey to discover the true meaning of loving yourself, healing from the wounds and losses and building a life in which she had realized her true purpose, to love herself, teach others how to love themselves and be free from the shame and loss that can hold one self captive. She enjoys cooking, anything outdoors, painting and creating, working with people who desire to change and grow. Her greatest pleasure is sharing with people her story to enlighten them and encourage them to press forward into all life can offer!

Stephanie Olson talks to Yolanda Harden about her story of trauma, life in the foster care system and overcoming. Yolanda Harden joined the fight against human trafficking in 2017 in Iowa while working directly with youth services, foster youth, and child abuse prevention. Her life experience and personal passion have consistently served underprivileged youth and those involved with the Human Services or Juvenile Justice Systems. After learning of Human Trafficking and its effects on today’s youth and adults, Yolanda shifted her career specifically to human trafficking prevention education for ALL children so that one day there will be no new victims. Yolanda leads all things education as the Director of Operations and Programming for The Set Me Free Project. Her objective is to educate what human trafficking is and make others aware that it happens in our community. Her main priority is preventing these heinous crimes BEFORE traffickers ever have the chance. Yolanda continues to show her dedication to meeting students where they’re at and engaging them in strength-based life lessons that build each youth up and encourage them to advocate for one another
